Goodbye tricky bias edges and fussy point matching! Benartex presents Foundation
by the Yard, designed to make your quilting more precise, less stressful, and as
creatively different as you are! Sharon Hultgren, quilt author, designer, teacher,
and creator of the Easy Angle ruler, has designed these innovative fabric
foundations to make you totally rethink the way you piece!
Each panel is 45" x 46", and includes foundation patterns, instructions for piecing,
and fabric requirements. No purchasing additional books or patterns! And the
fabric foundation stays in place after you're done piecing, keeping your blocks
stable and square. No ripping off tiny pieces of paper or snapping your stitches!
Ten patterns are currently available:
Grandmother's Fan 12 - 8" blocks. Go traditional with soft colors, or bright and modern with Fossil Fern. Either way, FBTY makes it easy!
Kaleidoscope 16 - 8" blocks. See what special effects you can achieve with lights and darks! It's fun and easy with Foundation by the Yard!
Pineapple At last! An easy way to do this classic intricate design! 12 bold and beautiful 10" blocks.
New York Beauty 12 blocks, an even dozen of the most elegant blocks you'll ever make! (And matching those points is easy with Foundation By The Yard.)
Prairie Braid 7 Strips, 4" x42". Add an intricate "woven" look to your borders and blocks with our easy-to-make Prairie Braid. Great for using those special scraps you've been saving!
Square by Square 12 - 8" blocks, plus enough Flying Geese to run a border around!
Uneven Log Cabin 20 - 8" blocks give the illusion of curved piecing - using only straight strips!
Crazy for You 20 - 8" blocks let your creative side go wild with specialty fabrics and fancy embellishing.
Hunter's Star 16 - 8" blocks that you can arrange and rearrange for endless design possibilities.
Flying Geese With 224 - 4" and 176 - 2" geese, the possibilities for setting blocks, borders, and whole quilts are endless.
