Born and raised on a farm in Glasgow, Kentucky, Kaye now makes her home in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she has three full service quilt shops and Bernina dealerships. She began quiltmaking and fabric collecting in earnest in the 1980s, but was influenced early on by a family of needleworkers. Kaye now travels around the world lecturing and teaching. (Her unique style of teaching, enthusiasm and sense of humor make her classes sell out early).

One word often used when describing Kaye is “energy.” Despite a hectic teaching schedule and 3 quilt stores, Kaye always finds time to quilt and has written over 14 books. “Gothic Grace” is her first fabric collection for Benartex.
